What if I already signed up?
Be at the HVCC Gym on Oak street by 10am on Tuesday, June 1st! You can come hang out at HVCC before that if you want!
What are the HVCC Junior Staff Certification and PhVCC Degree Programs?
Both programs help youth begin to build the skills they will need to become leaders who solve issues and problems facing our community and society. The plan helps us ensure youth have a strong foundation of experiences they can use in their first jobs, education, and relationships.
When is all of this happening?
This is an 8 week program during June and July. We'll be here Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am to 5 pm. Youth will work through the requirements during the summer program hours

What can youth get out of it?
Youth can earn money by completing credits. Credits can also be exchanged for things like activity fees or HVCC gear. High Valley wants to help our participants get ready for growing up by giving them a fun and safe space where they can help better their community and get hands on experience through community service opportunities, awesome activities, field trips, tasty meals, and time
with their friends!
How do youth get involved?
Sign up here! Youth in grades 7th and above are invited to join us at any time. Youth must be registered through HVCC to attend.
How often do they have to come to High Valley?
Participants will need to attend most days in the summer to graduate and earn the maximum credits. There are some make up opportunities if you miss a day or two. If you just want to participate occasionally and not complete the certificate, that's okay too! (30 maximum credits for "Orange Shirts" and 50 maximum credits for "Blue Shirts".)
Are "Orange and Blue Shirts" staff?
You are still a participant of the HVCC Summer Program and all of your hours are volunteer hours. However, you will earn credits by participating and those credits can be cashed in for $10/credit as a reward for doing a great job.
Who do I ask if I have questions?
If you talk to anyone at HVCC, they can at least direct you to
someone who can answer the question. We look forward to visiting
with you. 719-657-2172 or hvcc@theHVCC.org
