Executive Director
Adrienne Atencio
Adrienne joined HVCC in 2007 as the first employee and has enjoyed growing with HVCC and supporting the expansion from the tiny house on Grand Avenue into what it is today. She has lived in the Del Norte area her entire adult life and married a Del Norte native in 2002. Adam works in education and they have 3 children who have participated in HVCC at all levels. When not working, Adrienne enjoys being in the kitchen and spending her summer weekends at “the lake”. During the year she can often be found at her kids’ games and events, and traveling whenever she can. Adrienne is committed to helping make Del Norte be the best it can be because we see everyday how youth can grow when they are given the love and care they deserve from the adults in their community. We all play a part in ensuring that youth have the tools and support they need because youth are the solution!

Out Of School Time Coordinator
Alexa Molinar
Alexa works as the Program Lead at HVCC! She takes charge in planning all the activities and making sure all the kiddos are engaged and having a great time. Alexa loves to spend my days hanging out with kids after school and encouraging them to learn all sorts of new things.

Sports Coordinator
Alexis Cobb
Alexis comes from a generational Del Norte family and was happy to return to her roots with her husband and two children following too many years in the city. She joined the staff as the Sports Coordinator in 2022 after working with HVCC as a volunteer soccer coach for her daughter’s team. When not at HVCC, Alexis spends her time working on the family ranch, volunteering with the PTO and 4h, reading, and hanging out with her family. She is always ready to challenge her children or anyone interested in a game on the basketball court. Alexis concentrates on creating opportunities for our community to focus on fundamentals, sportsmanship and fun in a team environment. She is proud to support the HVCC sports program and participants in celebrating growth and building relationships that will last long after the season has ended.

Data + Evaluation Coordinator
HEATH BELL
Heath comes to HVCC with an extreme passion for the youth and progression of the community of Del Norte. Originally from New Mexico, Heath grew up in Creede and graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Science; emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Continuing his graduate education through CU Denver, a spark to teach and work with the youth was lit. Inspired by the many teachers and educators in his family, he pursued a career in teaching. Heath has lived all across the valley but calls Del Norte "Home." In his free time, he is often found on the river hooked into a fish, in the mountains chasing big game, or just out for a casual run on some single track. He often enjoys competing in ultramarathons and loves to lift weights. Anything outdoors, he is into it. He joined HVCC in 2025 after nearly a decade in the classroom teaching multiple subjects, mostly science, across middle school and high school grade levels. Working at HVCC, he hopes to bring his wide skill set to contribute to the improvement of HVCC and make it a place that every kid wants to be.

Health + Wellness Specialist
LYNNEA VALDEZ
Lynnea was born and raised in the San Luis Valley and has called Del Norte her home. She is one of the original members of HVCC - she got to grow up and learn the true values of HVCC in its early years. Lynnea works as the Health and Wellness Specialist at HVCC, which includes organizing and managing all the sports teams that HVCC has to offer. She enjoys sports and makes it her mission to make sure all the kiddos at HVCC are growing and getting more skilled every day. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, competing against her little brothers, and traveling. Anytime there is a sport going on at HVCC, Lynnea won’t be hard to find!

Communications Manager
KRISTA NADWODNY
Krista has a degree in English and Marketing from Texas Woman’s University. She has spent much of her career curating brand messaging and managing social media presences. She loves getting to work in the communications and marketing space, especially for nonprofits! She enjoys crafting messaging that tells the story of a brand in a meaningful way. Krista and her husband, Riley, are originally from Texas, but they made the valley their home in 2022. In her free time, Krista spends most of her time out in the mountains with her pup, Milo! When she’s not on the trail, Krista can be found at her hobby farm tending to her herd of misfit animals and baking all sorts of sinfully unhealthy desserts. Her work at HVCC is incredibly meaningful to her because she loves getting to help foster and encourage kids to be themselves and watch their little personalities grow! She finds immense value in developing a strong community, and the youth of this valley are the key to building an environment conducive to growth, positive change and strong relationships within the community. She fully believes that Youth Are The Solution!
